On Wednesday, October 30, the Community Open Day, hosted by Campus and Community, brought more than 1,000 KAUST residents together for an evening of connection, discovery and entertainment at Discovery Square.
Through engaging booths and interactive displays, the event gave attendees an opportunity to explore the many services, clubs and resources available to them. The community painted murals, learned about sustainability efforts, enjoyed live cooking shows by Tamimi, and connected with local artisans offering crafts, food and unique items.
Children enjoyed activities such as Lego building, coloring and exploring mini tractors, while adults discovered new services, sampled food and picked up discount vouchers.
The night came alive with performances by the Music Club, a high-energy flash mob and dance routines from the Movement Club, and lively beats from the Ministry of DJs Club, creating a festive atmosphere. The event concluded with a Kahoot quiz featuring prizes such as bikes, scooters and car rentals.
