Thursday, November 7
5:30 – 8:00 p.m.
Discovery Square
Our vibrant community is one of the key factors making KAUST an enjoyable place to thrive. Community Open Day is an evening for the community, by the community, and it is a celebration of the active and talented people who call KAUST home.
It’s all about community involvement
Community Open Day is an opportunity for engaged community members to inspire others to become a member of their groups, participate in an activity they’re organizing, enjoy their art or buy their wares. Tonight, they’ll showcase what they have to offer and how they contribute to making KAUST a great place to live.
There will be something for everyone—from unplugged jamming to traditional Indonesian music, from board games to sports demonstrations, from sugar-free baking to homemade cookies, from startups to souvenirs, from live painting to hair braiding, from food trucks to University departments and much more!
Great prizes will be available for attendees and those running booths!
Road Closure
A portion of Unity Boulevard between Discovery Square and the Student Center will be closed for the celebration. Buses and cars will be rerouted.
Getting There
Remember to bring your own water bottle. Water coolers will be provided.
Please consider biking or walking to the event. Shuttles will be available ongoing throughout the event from the off-campus bus parking lot across from Tamimi Supermarket to the Grand Mosque and back.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
Regards,
Omar Al-Omar
