Camel revival workshop

Give a familiar KAUST landmark a new life!

Join the Camel Revival Workshop, a community restoration initiative bringing together sustainability, creativity, and hands-on participation. Over three evenings, members of the KAUST community are invited to help prepare recycled aluminum beverage cans that will be used to restore the camel sculpture.

Participants will use rubber hammers to crush aluminum cans, which will then be collected and securely installed onto the sculpture by the project artists.

Dates: August 27–29, 2026
Time: 6:00–8:30 PM
Location: Camel sculpture in front of the Recycling Center
Who can join: All members of the KAUST community aged 12 and above

No prior experience is required. All necessary guidance will be provided onsite, and participants are asked to follow the safety instructions throughout the activity.

Come be part of this collaborative effort to revive a unique piece of KAUST public art while giving discarded materials a second life.
