ARTmosphere has debuted a series of 9 life-size portraits by Saudi artist, Skna Hassan. Through her work, Hassan critically engages new media technologies and conventional painting. A practice that have captivated our KAUST Kindergarteners in the past.

About the artist
Pursuing a unique and independent vision, Skna (pronounce “Sakna”) Hassan works in diverse media that expand the physical and conceptual notions of painting. In this series on the Kaust fence, the digital and mixed-media artist, continues to confidently explores the formal possibilities of new media art via figurative portraiture.
Hassan has exhibited her work at local institutions, galleries and art fairs across the country as well as internationally, in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and the UAE.
Born in Ras Tanourah (Saudi Arabia), she currently lives in Qatif.
