Artists of KAUST Exhibit submission dates and workshop

Entries for the Artists of KAUST exhibit will be accepted between the following dates and times –

Monday, March 30, Tuesday, March 31 or Wednesday, April 1
10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Copy Center, Level 0, University Library (building 12)

Tuesday, March 31
5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Copy Center, Level 0, University Library (building 12)

Examples of art works that are sought for inclusion in the exhibit include paintings, photography, textiles, jewelry, sculpture, calligraphy and ceramics. Works displayed in previous Artists of KAUST exhibits are ineligible for inclusion in this year’s show. Works must be ready to hang or display three weeks prior to the opening, the Arts Office cannot arrange for printing or framing.

Entries must be accompanied by –

Practical workshop by Art SDG on how to prepare paintings for display
Wednesday, March 25
6:30 – 9:00 p.m.
Multipurpose Room, Discovery Square

Practical workshop by Art SDG, open to anyone who is planning to submit artwork to the exhibition and wants help with getting their piece/pieces ready to be hung.

Registration not required.

  • How to make art work ready to hang on an ‘S hook.’
  • Eye hooks, wire and white duct tape will be provided.
  • Advice on framing and contacts for professional framers.
  • Dry Mount artwork to Foam Board: Contact University Library (building 12), Print Center on 012 808 3682
