The Supercomputing Laboratory is co-organizing with NVIDIA a one-day tutorial about accelerating scientific applications using GPUs on Wednesday, September 18.
The tutorial consists of four parts:
1) General overview of the GPU architecture and the fundamentals of GPU programming: libraries, directives and programming languages.
2) CUDA C/C++ programming language and presents tools and applications for large-scale visualization.
3) Introduction to OpenACC, a high-level programming model with applications in seismic and electromagnetic areas.
4) GPU acceleration using high performance numerical libraries.
Come and learn how to boost the performance of your existing application! The targeted audience is beginner to intermediate.
Registration is free but required. RSVP to training@hpc.kaust.edu.sa
There will also be a draw at the end of the training day and the luckiest one will win the latest NVIDIA Tesla K20 GPU accelerator. But every attendee will gain proficiency to employ the GPUs springing up throughout their computing environment.
The list of speakers and the agenda are now finalized. For more information about the venue, the registration and the detailed program, please visit http://www.hpc.kaust.edu.sa/training/2013/GPU.
