A Reminder About Vacations

If you are planning vacation leave for the summer break, here are a few simple tips to keep your house in good condition and protect your valuables while you’re away:

  • To help stop leaks, shut off the water valves and the flexible hoses underneath your kitchen and bathroom sinks.
  • To avoid condensation and the formation of mold, leave the air conditioner on auto and set it to 27C (80.6F).
  • To prevent flooding if a water leak occurs, ensure that all floor drains are uncovered.
  • To avoid condensation, make certain that all doors and windows are closed.
  • Lock and secure the roof access.
  • Make arrangements for the upkeep of your backyard, as required by Clause 14 of the Housing Agreement by calling 959, Gardening at 808 5480, or by e-mail at gardening@kaust.edu.sa.
  • Assign a caretaker. Complete the Caretaker Form, and send it to Housing at housing@kaust.edu.sa.

For any clarification, please contact Housing at 808 6555 or by email at housing@kaust.edu.sa.
You may contact Maintenance via the KAUST Helpdesk by dialing 959.

Remember, protecting your possessions and your rented unit is your responsibility.
Your cooperation is highly appreciated.
