A milestone for the KAUST Coral Restoration Initiative

On May 14, the KAUST Coral Nursery was officially commissioned advancing coral restoration at scale in the Red Sea.

Since 2022, the team has propagated more than 150,000 corals and transplanted 30,000 to the reef. The nursery commissioned today scales that capacity to 340,000 corals per year, supported by an AI digital twin that combines AI and ML driven analytics to model and monitor the reef

Congratulations to the entire KCRI team on this important milestone!
