KAUST Bike Week – Bike race, bike tour, bike fair and Grand Raffle

We are seeing a lot more bikes around campus this week! It seem more of you are biking to work, to school and biking to play! This is good preparation for our final activities of KAUST BIKE Week on 16 February.

BIKE RACE

  • 25 km or 50 km bike race around KAUST. Ride fast and win!
  • Race starts at 7:30 a.m. from Tamimi car park and finishes at the same location
  • Online registration is now open or you can register from 7:00 a.m. on the day
  • Click here to register for one loop (25km) or two loops (50km)

BIKE TOUR

  • 5 km family bike ride around KAUST. Bring your family along to enjoy a refreshing breeze and the beautiful views and natural landscapes of KAUST!
  • Ride your bike to the registration station at Tamimi car park, collect your free KAUST Bike Week t-shirt and sign up for the Grand Raffle that will take place at the Harbor Sports Field
  • Registration open from 9:00 a.m. and Tour starts at 10:00 a.m. (start: Tamimi car park, finish: Harbor Sports Field)

BIKE FAIR AND GRAND RAFFLE, Harbor Sports Field 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

  • Decorated helmet competition – decorate your bike helmet and win prizes!
  • Bike ‘Driving School’ for kids
  • Bike maintenance station offered by Red Sea Cyclists
  • Take part in the slowest bike competition and watch RPM/Schwinn demonstrations
  • “Donate your bike” social project – donate a bicycle you no longer use or need
  • Check out the Banaweer stall and our special guest – Cycling Abayas shop
  • Water stations (please bring your own water bottle to reduce the use of plastic bottles)
  • Bouncy castle
  • Food stations and ice-cream van
  • Grand Raffle – great prizes, including brand new bicycles and accessories! Register for the Grand Raffle at any Bike Week Energizing Station every time you ride a bicycle during the week (Click here for the location map) or at the Bike Fair
  • Remember to bring your KAUST ID to claim prizes!
