The KAUST Innovation-to-Impact Roundtable (http://www.i2impactroundtable.com) will be held tomorrow, Friday, May 19. It will draw on leading government institutions, universities and corporations from the Kingdom and the U.S., providing them with a platform to engage on critical topics of mutual interest in innovation and R&D.
KAUST was selected to host one of the events leading to the Arab Islamic American Summit, (https://riyadhsummit2017.org) which will take place in Riyadh during U.S. President Donald Trump’s visit. The one-day event has been developed in collaboration with KACST (https://www.kacst.edu.sa/eng/Pages/default.aspx) and SMEA (https://smea.gov.sa/ar/).
Roundtable leadership:
- Prince Dr. Turki bin Saud bin Mohammed Al-Saud – Roundtable Chair, President of KACST
- L. Rafael Reif – Roundtable Co-Chair, President of The Massachusetts Institute of Technology
- Dr. Ghassan Al-Sulaiman – Governor of SMEA
- Dr. Jean-Lou Chameau – President, KAUST
- Nadhmi Al-Nasr – Executive Vice President, KAUST
- Michael Crow – Roundtable Co-Chair, President of Arizona State University
With Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program 2020 underway, the event comes at a pivotal time and reinforces the need to build capabilities, develop institutional capacity and further promote innovation and entrepreneurship.
The event provides us an opportunity to showcase our University to the Kingdom and the world. We hope you will follow along on the official Facebook and Twitter channels and watch #innovationtoimpact to stay up-to-date with what is happening around the Kingdom on this historic weekend.
Thank you,
Nadhmi Al-Nasr
