Advancing Quality & Collaboration: Sharing Global Best Practices

Tuesday, September 1, 2026
1:00–2:00 p.m.
Auditorium between Buildings 2 and 3, Room 0215

Join us for a special session with Dr. Marni Baker Stein, Senior Vice President and Chief Content Officer at Coursera, as she shares global perspectives and practical approaches shaping the future of higher education.

As universities respond to rapid technological change, evolving workforce needs, and a growing global skills gap, new approaches to credentials, curriculum design, and collaboration are becoming increasingly important.

Drawing on international best practices, the session will explore how universities can strengthen academic programs through industry-aligned micro-credentials, quality assurance, credit recognition, and collaboration with industry and academic partners.

The discussion will also consider opportunities for KAUST to advance educational innovation in ways that support the Kingdom’s economic and workforce priorities.
