I want to take this opportunity to celebrate the excellent science at KAUST and provide a platform for all KAUST academics to showcase their outstanding research in a four-day event, through presentations, demonstrations and discussions. We have chosen the theme, Research for the Future of Saudi Arabia: Partnering on National Priorities,purposefully to highlight the alignment of KAUST with the new strategic direction of Saudi Arabia and how KAUST can play an essential role in shaping the future of the Kingdom. I encourage you to participate, in particular our young researchers and newly arrived faculty. Please join us for this timely event to showcase your science, network with fellow KAUSTians and discover what excellent research is happening around us.
