The Family and Child Support Center November parents and young people’s programs

The Family and Child Support Center is excited to announce a 4 week Yoga and Mindfulness Program devised by Nimisha Rajawat, an internationally certified yoga and mindfulness teacher.

Two programs will be offered, one for parents/adults and the other aimed at young people aged between 8 to 18 years old.

The program will include: Mindful meditation sessions, breath workshops, sound healing sessions, lectures and yoga movement sessions for parents and young people in the community.

Parent/Adults Program

  • Program: Yoga and Mindfulness Program  
  • Audience: Any parent or adult in the KAUST community
  • Facilitators: Nimisha Rajawat (Certified yoga teacher)
  • Time and venue: 8 sessions in total delivered twice a week over a 4 week program on a Monday and Thursday, starting  November 21, 2022 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. in room K117 at the Family and Child Support Center
  • Places: Maximum of 12 people
  • Cost: 350 SAR for the full program

Objectives: Offering Parents/Adults a positive program that focuses on emotional needs and wellbeing.

Young People’s Program

  • Program: Yoga and Mindfulness Program 
  • Audience: Young people aged 8 – 18 years
  • Facilitators: Nimisha Rajawat (Certified yoga teacher)
  • Time and venue: 8 sessions in total delivered twice a week on a Monday and Wednesday, starting Nov 21, 2022, 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. in room K117 at the Family and Child Support Center. Sessions will last around 40 minutes.
  • Places: Maximum of 8 young people
  • Cost: 350 SAR for the full program

Objectives: Offering young people a positive program that focuses on emotional needs and wellbeing. Parents or carers will be able to stay in the Family room at the FCSC to be on hand to support their child if needed.

Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. If there is sufficient demand, we will consider future opportunities to run this course at other times throughout the year. If you are granted a place, we will send out calendar invites for the full 8 sessions.

Monthly Socials at the Family and Child Support Center

Please be reminded that the Family and Child Support Center will host a Monthly Family Social session on the last Saturday of every month. The next family social session will take place on Saturday, November 26 at 10:00 a.m. No registration needed, we hope to see you there.
