8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
University Library, room 3118 (Seaview)

The fast-developing wide bandgap semiconductor technologies have created a hundred-billion-dollar market globally and are crucial for numerous critical areas in Saudi Arabia including lighting, water and food security, power supply, communication, and nuclear management.

KAUST researchers have built a lineup of scientific discoveries and technical advances in this field, many of which are based on collaborations with Asian researchers. Globally, the largest base of researchers of wide bandgap semiconductor is in Asia that has created an enormous industrial value chains from chemicals, materials, devices, equipment to applications.

This workshop features distinguished speakers from over 15 leading research institutions and a poster competition. It will serve as a bridge to strengthen the connections of KAUST with Asia for opportunities in R&D, and commercialization of wide bandgap semiconductor technologies.

Registration fee: $980 USD (waived for KAUST community).
