World diabetes day

Diabetes is a chronic health condition that affects how your body turns food into energy. Persistent high sugar levels can lead over time to complications of the heart, eyes, kidneys and the nervous system.  There isn’t a cure yet, but losing weight, eating healthy food and being active can really help.

KAUST Health is glad to raise awareness and support the community hosting a Diabetes Day Booth at the Campus Diner where community members can pass by and engage with our team. At the booth, you will be able to discuss diabetes and have your blood sugar and blood pressure checked.  If an individual has indications for follow up, they will be advised to book an appointment at KAUST Health.

Dates: November 14
Times: 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Location: Campus diner

Diabetes friendly meals will be available for purchase at the Diner on the event day.

If you have any questions, please email fatmah.hadadi@kaust.edu.sa for more information.

Kind regards,
