KAUST is once again honored to be one of the world’s select universities to participate in the annual Falling Walls competition. Falling Walls 2016 is looking for young innovators to present their research, business, entrepreneurial or social initiatives. Presentations will be made before a panel of world-renowned judges and must be completed in three minutes or less.
At KAUST, we will hold our campus competition on September 27 and award prizes to five finalists, with three top winners earning all-expense paid trips to Berlin for the international competition on November 8 and 9. The contest is open to anyone under 35 years of age, so if you are a student, postdoctoral fellow, professional, scientist, entrepreneur or anyone else who has a vision of how to change the world, this is your chance.
- 1st prize winner: Trip to Berlin and a MacBook Pro 15″ (512 GB)
- 2nd prize/runner-up: Trip to Berlin and a MacBook Air 13″ (256 GB)
- 3rd prize: Trip to Berlin and an iPad Air Wi-Fi + Cellular (128 GB)
- 4th prize: iPad Air Wi-Fi + Cellular (64 GB)
- 5th prize: iPad Air Wi-Fi + Cellular (64 GB).
Applications are now being accepted. All KAUST community members aged 35 or less are eligible. The deadline for applications is August 25.
