Supporting Earth Hour 2016

What is Earth Hour?

Earth Hour is a global lights-out event that has grown from a symbolic one-city occurrence into a global movement. This year, hundreds of millions of people from all walks of life across 7000+ cities and towns in 154+ countries and territories will be synchronizing their “switch off” on Saturday, March 19 from 8:30 p.m. (local time) for one hour.

KAUST is joining the global community to celebrate Earth Hour on Saturday, March 19 from 8:30 – 9:30 p.m. Lights across the campus and community will dim or completely darken (without compromising safety) for one hour. Participate from your home or workplace and conserve energy by turning off all unnecessary lighting. Always remember to save energy and make every hour an earth hour.
