The University Library is pleased to announce a new analytics service for KAUST researchers called PlumX@KAUST.

PlumX includes social media data and traditional metrics to provide a richer picture of research impact. By extending its data collection beyond traditional publisher venues, the PlumX service showcases your output through dashboards that include metrics such as:

  • Usage – clicks, downloads, views, library holdings and video plays
  • Captures – bookmarks, code forks, favorites, readers and watchers
  • Mentions – blog posts, comments, reviews and Wikipedia links
  • Social media – +1’s, likes, shares and tweets
  • Citations – PubMed Central, Scopus and USPTO.

You can access PlumX data two ways:

  1. By accessing KAUST’s research repository and viewing the “PlumPrints” that track impact metrics associated with individual articles, conference papers, source code, dissertations and other formats. “PlumPrints” are the icon on the right side of the webpage.
  2. By accessing KAUST’s PlumX Dashboard to browse and display metrics for individual researchers who have an ORCID ID.

We invite the KAUST community to explore this new service. Please share your thoughts and feedback by emailing repository@kaust.edua.sa.
