Today’s Enrichment in the Fall events will take us deep into the fascinating world of research into marine animal and human movement.

Human Digital Traces – Mobility and Transportation Around the Globe

Lunch and learn with us at our brown bag double lecture by Dr. Victor Eguiluz, Staff Scientist, Spanish National Research Council at IFISC (CSIC-UIB) and Dr. Xiangliang Zhang, Assistant Professor of Computer Science (KAUST), as we look at the latest research into patterns of human communication and movement.

The Magic of Animal Movement
Monday, October 19
7:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Auditorium (bldg. 20)

After work, join us for a cocktail reception at 6:15 p.m. before this evening’s keynote lecture “The Magic of Animal Movement” by Dr. Rory Wilson, Professor of Zoology at the University of Swansea. During the lecture, he will show us how the tracking of marine and land animals can reveal a wealth of information about the animal world and beyond.
