The KAUST Medical Center would like to ask community members to assist each other in improving the availability of appointments at the KAUST Medical Clinic (KMC).
Currently, some of our clinics are heavily booked, but did you know that:
- There were 363 no-show appointments for the month of September 2015
- We lost the equivalent of two weeks for a full-time dentist and one full week of appointments for a full-time family medicine physician plus their support staff
- Some patients were a no-show for three consecutive appointments in the same month
Please remember to cancel appointments you cannot attend as early as possible. This will allow other patients to access our service. Cancellation lines are open 24/7.
You can cancel appointments by:
- Phone: 940 from a landline or 012 808 0940 from a mobile
- Online: H-Connect system (Register at KMC to use this service)
- Stop by the clinic
If you need assistance in using H-Connect please visit the KMC clinic and one of our staff will be happy to help, or email patient-relations@kaust.edu.sa.
There is a no-show fee of 100 SAR for an appointment that is not cancelled in advance. Please note that arriving late for your appointment is also considered as no show.
For more information on no show fees at KMC, please click here.
Please let’s work together to improve the availability of appointments for everyone at KMC.
Thank you,
KAUST Medical Center

I think you should strictly apply the 100SAR FINE to reduce NO SHOW appointments. Because people don’t care.
It is very difficult some times to schedule an appointment for genuine cases. Strictly enforcing 100 sar. no show fee might be the answer for it.
Please start sending bills of the KMC fees for us to review (like phone billing) before deducting from our salaries.
