As we welcome new and returning members of our community, the Security Department would like to share an important reminder about KAUST emergency services.
- From a KAUST landline: Dial 911
- From a mobile phone: Dial 012 808 0911
Important: If you dial only 911 from your mobile phone, your call will be directed to Saudi government emergency services outside of KAUST, not KAUST emergency services.
The KAUST emergency communications team operates around the clock to:
- Respond to 911 emergency calls and dispatch appropriate emergency services (security, fire, ambulance).
- Provide emergency and non-emergency services to the KAUST community.
- Manage incident reports through the security online reporting.
- Monitor security and safety systems (fire alarm, CCTV, air quality).
When to call 911
Call KAUST 911 for emergencies requiring security, fire, or ambulance services. Using 911 for non-emergency situations may delay assistance to those experiencing a real emergency.
What to provide when you call
To help emergency services respond quickly, be ready to provide:
- Your location: Exact location and nearby landmarks.
- Nature of the emergency: Briefly explain what is happening.
- Incident details: People involved and any immediate dangers.
- Callback number: A number where you can be reached.
- Stay calm and follow the operator’s instructions.
Non-emergency/not in-progress incidents
For incidents that are not emergencies or are no longer in progress, such as lost or found property, traffic complaints, vehicle damage, misconduct, or other incidents, use the Security Online Reporting Portal, available 24/7.
