KAUST Smart Health Initiative (KSHI) hosts its annual conference entitled Health and Wellness: Accelerating Impact in KSA on November 1-2, 2023, at the Al Khozama Hotel, KAUST.
During this two-day conference, we will highlight how the KAUST Smart-Health Initiative and our partners are accelerating impact on health and wellness in Saudi Arabia and globally, while facilitating the transition from traditional approaches to precision and personalized medicine in the Kingdom. You will have the opportunity to attend keynotes, panel discussions, research presentations, poster sessions, and much more!
Ms. Rayyanah Barnawi, the first Saudi female astronaut
On November 2 at 4:00 p.m., we have a very special guest joining us for our closing session “Space Medicine: Impacting the Future of Health and Wellness,” with Ms. Rayyanah Barnawi. Ms. Barnawi is a biomedical researcher and the first Saudi female astronaut. Ms. Barnawi joined the Axiom Mission 2, in May 2023, where she carried out cancer stem cell research.

Transportation: A shuttle bus will commute regularly between Building 16 and Al Khozama Hotel on both days. We are looking forward to seeing you there!
