Women To Impact—Upcoming Events

We are pleased to announce two major 2020 events under the Women To Impact (WTI) initiative. KAUST aspires to be a destination for scientific and technological education and research. WTI inherits KAUST vision through offering women in Science and technology a platform to network, collaborate and unleash their impact.

Women Machine Learning Bootcamp
March 15 – 18, 2020
AI Precision Medicine Hackathon 
April 16 – 18, 2020
Located at KAUST, this four-day Women Bootcamp will bring together students and specialists to learn and practice Machine and Deep Learning concepts while creating an opportunity for participants to engage in technical and professional conversations in a positive and supportive environment. 

Program content:
– lectures
– labs
– access to computing resources (coding)
– keynote speaker and mentors

We highly encourage qualified women, Python developers, data scientists and data analysts and senior students or professionals to apply for participation.

This bootcamp is sponsored by CEMSE, KAUST IT and the KAUST Visualization Lab
“Solvers”, get ready! In April, KAUST will host the first AI Precision Medicine Hackathon. The AI Precision Medicine Hackathon will bring together innovative experts from all over the Kingdom to solve real-world data related medical and healthcare challenges by applying Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies.

All participants will be hosted by KAUST and will work over a weekend in teams to build innovative solutions. The event will be a tremendous and enriching experience for those selected to participate!

We invite data scientists, computer scientists and AI experts to participate in this event by becoming a “Solver” and registering here.

Although the event is open to both genders, we highly encourage qualified women to apply for participation.
