WEP 2013: Entrepreneurship Certified Course

Entrepreneurship Certified Course

January 14 – 21, 2013

During WEP 2013, the Entrepreneurship Center will host a one-week certified course that will be provided by Cornell University. During the course, participants will learn about key topics in entrepreneurship, such as generating ideas, identifying and screening opportunities, conducting market research, obtaining intellectual property, delivering an elevator pitch, forming a management team, and obtaining funding.
The deadline to register is December 18.

By the end of the course, participants will have considered and evaluated a series of entrepreneurial opportunities, written the executive summary of a business plan, practiced presenting the business concept, and evaluated the business concept presentations of other participants.

This set of tools can be used to start a venture, work in an existing venture, or promote innovation in a large organization. All teams will be assigned entrepreneur mentors and will meet with these mentors. The best teams will be automatically enrolled in KAUST’s VentureLab Spring 2013 program where they will have the opportunity turn their ideas into reality.
