TKS final Grade 10 students Personal Projects exhibition

Wednesday, March 1, 2017
6:00 – 8:00 p.m .
Flag Pavilion of Safaa Gardens Secondary School

Please join us at The KAUST School for the final Grade 10 students Personal Projects exhibition. The Personal Project is an 11-month long project in which the Grade 10 students experience the responsibility of completing a significant piece of work exploring a passion that they enjoy. Students create a goal, investigate the topic thoroughly, take action and reflect on their learning. The Personal Project is one component leading to the culminating MYP Certificate.

Just an appetizer of what you will see and experiences are: an electronic tracking device for sharks in the Red Sea, data-driven information on reducing teenage stress, prostheses designed for cats and dogs made via 3D printers as a low-cost alternative for animal shelters, and a theater program that leads an inquiry into the ‘fast fashion’ industry.

In addition, a fantastic exhibition of Grade 10 student underwater photography and accompanying scientific rationales investigating light and optics in the Red Sea will be on display.
