Students of the The Garden Secondary School (GSS) have been busy preparing for this year’s musical, “Into the Woods”. Opening performance is a matinee on Saturday, December 3, at 4:00 p.m., perfect for families. The two evening performances on the following two days, December 4 and 5 will commence at 7:30 p.m., with our community members’ busy schedules in-mind.
Get excited to see KAUST’s most talented and experienced junior actors perform “Into the Woods Jr.” The musical is a “mashup” of some world-famous tales: “Cinderella”, “Rapunzel”, “Little Red Riding Hood” and “Jack and the Beanstalk”, and was made into a film in 2014 starring among others, Meryl Streep.
An entire cast of students and teachers have been working for the past months in preparation to showcase a performance with a set and props, stunning costumes, vivid live music, and spectacular lights. There are actors, singers, costume designers, set builders, lighting operators, musicians and many others collaborating to create the best musical GSS has presented yet.
