Data roaming charges, without a plan, are extremely expensive. To ensure that your device does not inadvertently connect to cellular data streams, we recommend you carry out the following change of settings prior to leaving Saudi Arabia.
Here is also a useful link from Mobily website which shows which countries that are covered, and not covered, by roaming services.

I’ve traveled to portugal from August 11th – 25th. I’v activated “trip2” service for the first week. I had internet and calls but it was very slow, slower than other times i’ve used in the same destination. Once I received a sms saying the bundle was over I activated “trip1” and used for 3 more days, also very slow. At the end of my trip i sent “trip1” again and I’ve received a confirmation that the bundle is active but at he same time i started to receive multiple sms saying the bundle is ending. so i was unable to use internet this last 3 days of my trip. right now i’m in saudi and unable to use data either. In general I’m very unhappy with this service, I’ve bee using it almos for 3 years and it’s never clear or reliable. but since there is no other option i must continue using it.
How can we solve this issue?
In 3 days I will travel to a remote area in Nepal and I will need this service to work well, especialy for safety reasons.

Unfortunately Data Roaming is very much dependent on local service provider infrastructure, and other environmental conditions.
As you can appreciate, Mobily uses local providers to give their customers data. Some areas are not covered properly by local carriers.
For best performance, it is recommend to get a local company SIM card.
For your other issue, pls email the IT Service desk (Ithelpdesk@kaust.edu.sa) providing them your phone number in order to support you further.
