The booking system is partially useful, the main drawback & issue is oneway booking from any place other than KAUST bus station is not allowed – how can that be useful. So I can book oneway and go to for example Sulaiman Fakieh Hospital in the morning but cannot stay there all day and book and return from any one the malls in the evening on the same day. If the booking system is to be useful anyone should be able to book oneway or return either from KAUST Bus station or from from Jeddah Malls as long as seats are available.
Why are there booking restrictions and from outside and same day return must if there are empty seats available ?
Please note, passengers have to return back to KAUST on the same day, otherwise, seats for any other return trip will be subject to availability.
Moreover, this is a soft launch for the online booking & all comments will be re-considered after three months
Dear Transport Team,
Previously, when SAPTCO wasn’t our provider, your team informed that the bus cannot enter AlHAram Makkah under the tunnel (where it use to be) because only SAPTCO buses allowed by the authority.
Now that we have SAPTCO as provider, how come the drop off point is still Masjid Aisyah, instead of the tunnel under AlHaram?
Please enlighten.
Thank you.
Dear Talha,
thank you for your informative message KAUST transportation would like to highlight what is the difference between SAPTCO haram service and SAPTCO as a service provider.
* SAPTCO haram service is been provided as a governmental service from dedicated parking areas with assigned number of buses only allowed to move on defined route.
* SAPTCO as a provide for KAUST are not entitled to run the buses on the same route which is dedicated for haram services only.
more we try to consider your concern and deliver to SAPCO management if they able to find a solution.
