The Visualization Core Lab in collaboration with FEI is pleased to announce a full-day hands-on workshop on introductory and advanced use of the AVIZO Visualization Suite, a multi-platform data analysis and visualization tool. This event is part of the launch of the new KAUST- FEI Center of Excellence in Electron Microscopy located on the KAUST campus.
AVIZO is available for use at the Visualization Core Lab and throughout the campus through IT-provided workstations and laptops.
Agenda
The workshops will be led by engineers from FEI, the developers of the software. Attendees will participate in tutorials, hands-on sessions and discussions with the engineers on working with AVIZO. Topics will include visualization, analysis generation, segmentation and meshing of various scientific datasets.

KAUST and FEI, a company that designs, manufactures and supports a broad range of high-performance microscopy workflow solutions, have established a new Center of Excellence in Electron Microscopy located at KAUST. This center of excellence is the first implementation of a strategy by KAUST to build long-term partnerships with major instrument suppliers and will serve as a model for future opportunities to provide state-of-the-art research facilities, training and services to KAUST users and collaborators across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
