
The Art Club offers classes, workshops, and a studio where members can work on their own projects.
Upcoming activities include classes in oil painting, watercolor painting, ceramics, digital art, drawing, Islamic geometric art, and kids’ art workshops. Classes take place at the Island Recreation Club art and ceramic studios.
The following workshops are available starting this semester:
- Oil Painting Workshop: Learn about oil painting techniques from an experienced art teacher. This oil painting workshop is offered at beginner levels for adults and senior Secondary School students with some painting experience. Learn more and register here.
- Watercolor painting: Learn about the watercolor palette, different techniques of how to use watercolor paints, and how to paint scenes of landscapes, seascapes, and buildings. Learn more and register here.
- Ceramics workshops: You will create your own one-of-a-kind objects inspired by your own imagination. You will also learn to throw shapes on a pottery wheel, use a mud press, and create plaster molds. Learn more and register here.
- Kids Art workshop: Art classes for kids every Saturday, and it’s for K1-G5 age kids. Learn more and register for the 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. classes. Learn more and register for the 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. classes
- Drawing workshop: Learn the aspects of drawing. Classes are offered every Saturday. Learn more and register here.
- Islamic geometric art: Learn about the art of Islamic Geometric Art. Classes are offered every Wednesday. Learn more and register here.
- Digital art: You will be taught how to digitally paint pictures starting with a reference picture to sketching, painting, and refining the final piece. Learn more and register here
