The Art Club offers classes, workshops, and a studio where members can work on their own projects.
Upcoming activities include classes in painting, drawing, mosaics, textiles, and ceramics. Classes take place at the Island Recreation Club art and ceramic studios.
Upcoming Workshops
The following workshops are available starting in March 2022:
- Acrylic painting workshop: Learn classical acrylic painting techniques from an experienced art teacher. This acrylic painting workshop is offered at an intermediate level for adults with some painting experience. For the Tuesday Class register here. For the Saturday Class register here.
- Mosaic workshop: Make pictures with bits of colored tiles. Learn more and register here.
- Ceramics workshops: You will create your own one-of-a-kind objects, inspired by your own imagination. You will also learn to throw shapes on a pottery wheel, use a mud press, and create plaster molds. Registration is closed
- 3D art classes: Learn how to make 3D pictures by cutting and layering a picture and mounting it in a 3D frame. Learn more and register here

- Kids Art Classes are offered for K1 – G5 kids every Saturday. Learn more and register for the 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. or register for 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
