The Art Club offers classes, workshops and two studios where members can work with teachers and work on their projects.
Upcoming activities include classes in oil painting, clay polymer modeling, ceramics and kids’ art.
Classes take place at the Island Recreation Club Art Studio and Ceramic Studio.
The following workshops are available starting in April 2024:
Sundays: oil painting workshop
Learn classical oil painting techniques from a very experienced art teacher. For beginners, intermediate and advanced painters.

Tuesdays: ceramics workshop
You will learn to throw pots on a pottery wheel, how to hand-build pinch pots, coil pots and slab pots, and finally, glaze your creations. For beginners only.

Wednesdays: clay polymer modeling workshop
You will learn the basic techniques of sculpting with polymer clay to build figures, and animals, carving details, and contours that will bring realism to your models. For beginners, intermediate and advanced modelers.

Saturdays: Kids’ art workshops
These art and craft classes are for K1 – G5 kids. There are two times: 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Click on the appropriate link to register.
