
As we welcome the blessed month of Ramadan, Campus and Community (C&C) is pleased to share the updated Off-Campus Bus Schedule designed to support the KAUST community during this holy month.
New Off-Campus Bus Guidelines
The KAUST Off-Campus Bus Service is available exclusively for the KAUST community. To ensure safe, fair, and smooth travel for everyone, please keep the following key guidelines in mind.

What’s changing during Ramadan
- Makkah buses will operate daily throughout the holy month
- All shopping buses will depart at 8:00 p.m. and return at 12:00 a.m.
- Morning shopping bus services will not be available during Ramadan

Seat reservation
To ensure your seat, please reserve in advance via the KAUSTCentral app.
Cancellations and no-shows
- If you cannot travel, please cancel your booking at least 1 hour before departure as a courtesy to others.
- Passengers who do not show up for a booked Makkah or Madinah trip will not be able to book another trip to those destinations for 30 days.
Important reminder: Nusuk permit requirements
If you are planning to visit Makkah or Madinah (Al Rawdah), please note that a valid Nusuk permit is required during this period. We recommend checking and securing your permit ahead of time.
