Prof. Jean Frechet Awarded 2013 Japan Prize

KAUST’s Vice President for Research, Professor Jean Fréchet, has been announced as co-recipient of the 2013 Japan Prize. The Japan Prize acknowledges original and outstanding achievements in science and technology which are recognized as having ‘advanced the frontiers of knowledge and served the cause of peace and prosperity for mankind.’

Fréchet and C. Grant Willson of the University of Texas at Austin are recognized for their achievement in the ‘development of chemically amplified resistant polymer materials for innovative semiconductor manufacturing processes.’ Renowned scientists across North America, Europe, and Asia – including Nobel Prize Laureates, Japan Prize Laureates, and Millennium Technology Prize winners – have been swift in sending their warm congratulations…Keep reading here.
