Please read the following message from KAUST Recreation regarding R rated movies at the cinema:
KAUST management has decided to implement entry restrictions to children for R rated movies with immediate effect. This is to eliminate the exposure of children to inappropriate language and scenes associated with R rated movies.
- Children under the age of 16 will NOT be permitted entry to any R rated movies at the KAUST cinema.
- Children aged 16 years and above will be allowed access to R rated movies if accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 years old.
This decision is in line with the majority of worldwide cinema regulations relating to R rated movie screenings. Your understanding and cooperation is much appreciated.

Can the cinema please show at least one kid movie (G-PG13) once a week, because you are playing rated R movies two weeks in a row. And kids like watching movies.
I agree! Even if it’s not a new movie, Disney movies are classics, we can watch them again.

Thank you for your comments regarding the movies. We will certainly try to show at least one movie per week that is suitable for children. However, we are sometimes restricted due to the availability of movies from our UAE distributors. We will certainly do what we can to resolve.
