Dear KAUST Community,
The feedback received in the last KMS patient satisfaction survey indicated that the community would like appointments to be more readily available, we believe this is a reasonable request.
When patients fail to show up for appointments, KAUST must still pay the providers and an opportunity is missed for other patients to access the service.
In order to reduce the current high rate of no-shows, a penalty of 100 SAR per missed appointment will be assessed starting September 1, 2015.
Please remember to cancel appointments you cannot attend as early as possible. This will allow other patients to access our service. Cancellation lines will be open 24/7.
You can cancel by:
- Phone: 940 from a landline or 012 808 0940 from a mobile
- Online: H-Connect system (Register at KMC to use this service)
- Stop by the clinic
Other changes have also been made to KMC services, which are designed to improve accessibility and reduce waiting times.
If you would like to provide feedback on any aspect of the health services you receive, please visit KMC, e-mail the Patient Relations Officer.

May I suggest that as a client we are informed via email that we shall be charged a no show fee. Within this email the timing of the appointment, and person should be clearly stated and for which healthcare department. This information can then be used to confirm or challenge this fee before money comes off our pay check. At present there is just a single line with No Show fee and the charged amount. I completely understand and support the idea behind this initiative, however, I am on the receiving end of this charge and I have no idea when this was related to.
