Samara Transport is available to receive requests seven days a week from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (midnight) and can be contacted at:

Samara will not take reservations for internal (KAUST campus) trips – apparently this is an ‘on the spot’ system – whatever ‘on the spot’ might mean! Perhaps it does mean that I can call Samara and expect a taxi within 15 minutes?
On the spot booking means that internal booking is not on reservation basis. Since it is internal, you can call for a taxi when needed, and yes they will provide it to you in few minutes (i.e., 15-20 minutes depending on your pick up location) and subject to availability of their vehicles that are currently not being used for a trip.

Can I book via the website business taxi’s for my center instead of using Saudi Oger?
Samara is on a retail contract which covers personal trips for the community on cash basis.
Great, finally an all day service again. Seems Saudi Oger don’t like to provide the 8 hours service anymore, so I am happy finally to have this service once again, a lot better than bus travel. Thank you Samara.

Does Samara rent cars (without driver)?
Yes, Samara rental vehicles will be available soon. The community will be informed once this service is available.
Can one rent a vehicle with a driver for a 2 or 3 day trip? For example, having a driver drive you to Medina. Do you have daily rates?

There is no information on this sight that shows car rental pricing and Samara is not listed on this page.

Samara is not yet included in the Car Rental section as they are still preparing their fleet. Community will be informed at the same time website will be updated once they are ready to rent a car .
Pricing for car with driver is in the Taxi Rates “Chauffer Service with Vehicle – Full day” for both Hanco and Samara.
For personal rental rates you can directly contact either Hanco or Saudi Oger to the contact details provided in the website.
