MARCOM FAQ – Branding Approvals and Requests

Dear Community,

The KAUST logo and brand are an important part of our identity. Recently, with the increase in both English and Arabic content production, we have received some questions about logo usage, promotional material, and messaging and branding approvals.

We would like to answer some questions below to facilitate your business needs and ensure policy compliance.

1. Where can I find branding resources or request MARCOM services?

Please visit the Marcom website for all your Marketing Communications needs:

  • Resources: Download everything from PowerPoint templates to logos and fonts and colors
  • Services: Request support in graphic design; messaging, writing and media relations, photography and videography and special events and museum tours and much more!

2. When should I seek approval on a communications item that I have created?

  • The item impacts the overall KAUST reputation and brand
  • The item contains Arabic and/or English high-level institutional branding and messaging that will be seen by an external audience
  • This may include: Publications, articles and press releases, websites/webpages, social media, videos and presentations, KAUST announcements and other marketing collateral
