Lecture: "The Art of the Lost Civilization of Arabia"

March 12, 2019
5:15 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Building 9, lecture hall 1

By Dr. Majeed Khan, consultant at the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage.

Rock art is one of the most primitive visual form used by the ancient people of Arabia to express their social, cultural and religious entities. Rock art sites of Jubbah and Shuwaymis, north of Hail, were recently registered on the UNESCO’s world Heritage list. The visual record on the rocks is an expression of the past societies of Arabia. Rocks were a permanent source of communication and documentation of their way of life.

Today, in Saudi Arabia, traditions and cultures are mostly based on ancient cultures prevailing over several millennia.

We regret to inform you that the book signing session has been cancelled. Dr. Majeed Khan’s books are all currently out of stock.
