KAUST’s Ultimate Frisbee Group recently travelled to Hurghada, Egypt on March 22 and 23, 2019 and participated in the Safer World International Frisbee Tournament (SWIFT).
The tournament took place over two days and included competition on both grass and sand beach venues.
The KAUST Ultimate Frisbee group, Kingdom Ultimate, succeeded in coming in third place and furthermore won the Spirit Award for the Most Spirited Team.
The Ultimate Frisbee group is a graduate student-led group, supported by the Office of Graduate Events and Recreation, and has regular practice sessions on campus. Current membership is 35 players and graduate students and visiting students at any level of ability are welcome to join the sessions, which are a lot of fun and a great way to keep fit.
