KAUST Nanosatellite Farther Away than Thought

The KAUST Nanosatellite team has reported that the camel-searching Bedouin who found the nanosatellite thought he was closer to Taif than he actually was.

Upon closer inspection of the geo-coordinates, the satellite actually landed at 22.1904, 40.6428, at the green arrow.

That is quite far. A very interesting experiment. Great job!

So, we can safely assume he’ll never find the camel.

Daniel, oh ye of little faith, on the contrary, when you consider the data analysis currently underway, and the camel locator APP is downloaded, I fully expect our good samaritan will be reunited with his even-toed ungulate as expeditiously as possible.

Assuming said ungulate has a GPS receiver embedded or strapped to him…

Well luckily the camel locator app has converted smart campus technology into smart desert technology and, instead of using augmented reality systems, uses augmented fat systems so it unfailingly locates the camel’s magnificent hump in the fat-less undulating dunes.
