KAUST now has its second bird hide at South Beach! We are thankful for the collaborative efforts of the KAUST Maintenance and Environmental teams, the Community Life materials management team, the golf management team (MGS) and the Recreation management team (Coastline).
Not only was this a true collaborative effort, it was also a great example of recycling – an unused shelter at the golf course was dismantled, transported to the beach, and Dahindra (a very talented carpenter from MGS) volunteered to build the new bird hide on his own time.
The first bird hide (also built by Dahindra) is situated by the lake on the golf course.
The bird hides at the Golf Course and at South Beach are available for any community member to use, who wishes to observe our local and migratory birds. For more information on good times to do viewings, contact Brian James.
