Building 2, Level 5, Room 5220
The KAUST Analytical Chemistry Core Lab and NETZSCH – Analyzing and Testing invite you to a seminar exploring how thermal analysis can offer valuable insights into the behavior and properties of polyolefins.
Thermal analysis have been crucial tools in analyzing materials such as polymers, catalysts, fuels, and pharmaceuticals for several decades. While the technique is considered mature, hyphenation techniques of Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Simultaneous Thermal Analysis (STA) with mass spectrometers, FTIR, GC/MS have sparked interests and excitements among material scientists. In addition to these techniques, Recent advances in these techniques provide enhanced sensitivity, resolution, separation of complex transitions, deformation, flow of a material and an important link between product microstructure and performance, allowing for better assessment of the quality, safety, and performance of components.
Get insights from industry expert, Dr. Omeir Khalid from NETZSCH, as he demonstrates the capabilities of these advanced technologies for the analysis of polymers, nanoparticles, drugs, fuels, battery materials, and more.
This event is open to all researchers and scientists at KAUST.
No registration required.
