KAUST Imaging and Characterization Core Lab presents:
Introduction to NMR Spectroscopy: Theory and Applications
February 21 to 25, 2021
3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
On Zoom
The KAUST Imaging and Characterization Core Lab (IAC) is organizing a series of online nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) lectures on Zoom titled “Introduction to NMR Spectroscopy: Theory and Applications.” The lectures will take place from February 21 to 25.
The lecture course aims to present the basic concepts of NMR spectroscopy, including data processing and data interpretation used to obtain useful structural information from NMR spectra. NMR concepts such as chemical shift, spin-spin coupling, relaxation and multi-dimensional NMR will be presented. The importance of sample preparation and the advantages, limitations and recent advances in NMR spectroscopy will also be discussed. The course will increase the awareness of the potential and applicability of NMR spectroscopy in participants’ research work.
The lectures are open to graduate students, faculty members, researchers and industry practitioners from Saudi Arabia and KAUST.
