International Open Access Week 2021

The International Open Access Week is coming soon! The University Library invites you next week October 24 – 28 to reflect and learn about the ongoing changes in the scholarly communications ecosystem as governments, funders, universities, publishers, and academics adopt new policies, infrastructure and practices.

Lunch and learn session

Session 1: DORA, the Declaration on Research Assessment

Session 2: How to choose where to publish

Wednesday, October 27, 12:00-13:00

Lunch and learn sessions will be held in the circular seating area on the Seaview side on level 2 of the University Library. A light lunch will be provided for participants. No registration is required.

Open Access exhibit

There will be an exhibit all week (9:00am to 4:00 pm) in the library lobby with information about open access, the KAUST open access policy, and the library’s new open access publishing agreements. Drop by to play games, win prizes, and get answers to your questions about open access!
