We are pleased to announce the automation of certain HR action request forms initiated through the KAUST Portal. This new online functionality will be available to Managers at all levels, as well as Business Administrators.
Solution objectives and benefits
With this new solution, certain HR action requests forms (Contract Extensions, Transfers, Promotions, Salary Adjustments, Acting Assignments, Substitutions, Separations) can be:
- Initiated online using smart forms directly from the KAUST portal,
- Tracked as they automatically flow through various approval stages, and
- Processed automatically (following necessary approvals) with notification of completion sent to the initiator.
Initial organizations to Go-Live
The solution will be piloted for the following organizations from Monday, May 1, 2017:
- Information Technology
- Finance
- Government Affairs & Security
- CEMSE Division
- Human Resources
Following the launch, HR action request forms for these organizations will only be accepted electronically via the KAUST Portal. Requests submitted prior to May 1, 2017 will be processed as usual.
Rollout information for the rest of the university will be communicated separately.
User support
User guides explaining how to use the automated forms can be found in a centralized repository (System Training Docs) hosted on the main page of the KAUST Portal.
Additionally, there will be drop-in support sessions during the month of May on Mondays and Thursdays from 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. Please feel free to drop by Room 2606, Level 2 in the Administration Building (bldg. 16) at the aforementioned times should you require assistance with the automated forms.
