Have you fallen for a phishing email recently?

Was it a real one or test sent by our Information Security Department?

Regardless, phishing is considered one of the most common cyber security attack vectors these days, and for a reason. Humans are the most vulnerable link in the security chain.

In an effort to help you increase your security awareness, we are pleased to announce the launch of the SANS Advanced Cybersecurity Learning Platform (ACLP). SANS Institute is one of the most trusted and largest sources of information security training in the world. This ACLP offers you the following advantages:

  • Computer-based training you can take from any location
  • Short modular videos you can watch in multiple sessions, as time permits
  • Modular quiz questions to test your comprehension
  • Completion reports that allow managers to track completion for compliance reporting purposes

The ACLP platform is available starting today, Thursday, December 1, 2016 at HumanFirewall.kaust.edu.sa for all users interested in raising their awareness level of cybersecurity threats and improving their human firewall score. This training covers a variety of topics that apply not only to work but also home, including how to secure your family. Enrolled users who complete all training modules successfully will be awarded two redemption points towards their Human Firewall Strength score. Also, mandatory training courses will be assigned to users who fall for our simulated phishing campaigns and reach a risk score between six and nine.

If you have any questions about this program or suggestions on how to improve it, please contact us at askinfosec@kaust.edu.sa. Thank you for being a “Human Firewall” within our organization to keep our employees and our information safe.
