Health Safety and Environment (HSE) is offering three guided bird walks during April 2018. Come and join other community members on a stroll around some of the wilder parts of KAUST. Enjoy learning about the ever changing bird life of KAUST which should be particularly prolific at this time of the year. During our walks in March we managed to find an owl, six species of birds of prey and over 20 species of wader. So far in 2018 over 135 species of bird have been observed around KAUST.
Our walks last around 2 hours. Binoculars are provided for those who need them and afterwards a list is sent to participants indicating which species were seen. We hope to see you there.
The walks are:
- Sunday April 1 at Safaa Golf Club, meeting at 4:30 p.m. Meeting in the reception area.
- Friday April 20 in Island Mangrove, meeting at 7:00 a.m. in the Island Mosque Car Park
- Sunday April 22 at Safaa Golf Club, meeting at 4:30 p.m. Meeting in the reception area.
