PowerSchool, a third-party application used by The KAUST School (TKS) for student information services, has been involved in a global cybersecurity event. On January 8, 2025, TKS was informed by PowerSchool that this cybersecurity incident had impacted TKS and other customers around the world.
PowerSchool, not TKS or KAUST, was the target of the cybersecurity event, and we can confirm that our systems will remain operational.
TKS and KAUST Information Security are continuing to work with PowerSchool to assess what personal information has been accessed but have been informed that PowerSchool have taken all steps to mitigate the information being further shared or made public.
