Global Corporate Challenge

As part of KAUST’s commitment to community health and wellbeing, Human Resources in partnership with Facilities & Community and Graduate Affairs, is delighted to announce that in May 2014, KAUST will be participating again in the Global Corporate Challenge (GCC).

Based on your feedback from last year’s challenge, this year the challenge will be open to employees, postdocs, students, and spouses. GCC is an exciting and entertaining 100-day challenge which involves teams of seven competing against each other both within KAUST and against other organizations across the globe!

The challenge is based around participants increasing their daily activity levels to 10,000 steps and beyond, but it’s not just limited to walking. Cycling, swimming, rowing in the gym, in fact, any type of physical activity counts. Each team member will receive a new starter pack which consists of two pulse devices to track your physical activity each day. The more active your team, the further you will progress on a virtual adventure around the world.

Places are limited to 150 teams (1050 Participants), and as such, registration will be on a first come, first served basis, so make sure you start thinking about your team members and book your places when you are ready! You will also need to select your team captain and a team name.

Please note that the registration window is open NOW and will close on April 30. To register your team of seven, please click here. Once your team has been accepted, you will be invited to the launch event on Sunday, May 25, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Conference Center (building 19), Halls 1-3.

Further details about GCC can be found on the GCC website.

Don’t get left behind.
